Mary Elizabeth (Hensler) Thrasher — 58, of Portland, died Sept. 24, 2011. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at Gresham Memorial Chapel, 257 SE Roberts Ave., Gresham.

“Our tough love powerhouse leader with the ‘Hensler laugh’ that was so infectious. She always enjoyed the trips to the farm when she could make it down. I have one memory of her giggling with Aunt Judy in the living room. They had too much sugar and couldn’t control the giggles. I don’t remember what was so funny, but it turned into the entire house laughing. I have many moments like those in my memory of her.“
