My mother, Mary Fern Hensler Doyle, was Grandma Jennie’s and Grandpa Alfred’s, third of four children; Florence, Alice, Mary and Thomas. Grandma Jennie was a presence in our family throughout my childhood and as a young adult. I have fond memories of her laughter, her strength (both physical and mental!) and her strong commitment to family. She was proud of and supportive of each of her 14 grandchildren and her two great-grandsons. I miss her strengh and resiliency.
